Our Home

Monier and I moved to Whidbey Island in 1991. We found the rural island culture alluring and dramatically changed our lifestyle. We haven’t looked back since.

Whidbey Island is located about 35 miles northwest of Seattle. A 15 minute ferry ride links us to the "other side". The change from the greater Seattle’s cosmopolitan atmosphere to one centered on the island and the beach is dramatic.

We live on Sunlight Beach which is located in the center of Useless Bay (yes, that’s right).

We occasionally dig clams and during the season do a little salmon fishing (fishing as opposed to catching).

The house is warm and large enough to sleep up to six grandchildren and their folks.
